These are some ridiculously good sales and even without AnoHana's sure dominance next week.
Is this a sign of good things for anime in Japan? The top30 cutoff for BD sales this week was above 4,000 which is just crazy. I certainly didn't expect Hidan no Aria to sell a combined ~6.4k copies for instance, or for Azazel to sell a combined ~8k. Heck, even Sket Dance sold almost 7k DVDs. Is this a sign for another boom? Cause I've been tracking these sales for a couple years now, and this is probably the highest week in terms of overall sales (and not just one or two properties simply dominating). |
