Nice and it's by Madhouse too.
I might re-watch parts of the short movie to get some refreshment but this is great news. |

I really liked the short movie. I do wonder how this will be a TV series though? Still it'll be cool to see how this turns out.

It was good for a single episode, but I can't see how the TV series won't turn into Hell Girl: same situation over and over just with the players and their grievances changed, except now every episode concludes ambiguously. I can see getting tired of that club setting really fast.

Agreed. Although, I have to say, I've seen the entire first season of Hell Girl and a chunk of the second and I'm not tired of the formula yet. But anyway - as long as Anime Mirai shorts are getting tv adaptations, howzabout somebody doing Little Witch Academia? |

The first short was ok, but I'm sure they'll come up with a to make it interesting enough for a TV series. Maybe we'll find out more about what happens on the elevator.

I'd rather see that Harmonie episode get adapted since it was headed somewhere and set up for a longer story with intrigue, whereas Death Billiards feels like it'll be episodic just by the nature of the concept unless they focus on aspects not involved in two people dealing with their issues with club games as the only conflict.

I enjoyed the short, but didn't think it'd stretch to a series. I'm imagining some kind of cross between the Twilight Zone and Indoor League.
Still, sounds a lot more interesting than 'Harem Anime #235098' or 'What if they made yet another light novel adaptation with a really really long name?' |

Great news to hear one of these shorts get a show, and while I can see this ending up badly if it isn't handled well as a TV series I want to be positive (for once) and hope that the writer knows what he's doing. This reminds me to go and try to see the other shorts since aside from LWA and this I can't recall the other two.

No idea how they'll extend the one-off setting to something longer.
Maybe more focus on the bartender and the hostess who seem perpetually stuck to their posts? |

Oh wow...I wish this was announced before Yuzuru Tachikawa did his NYCC panel. The short certainly shows potential. I'm curious to see how he handles this premise over several episodes.

Trigger already noted they were creating a second episode of Little Witch Academia, and the successful Kickstarter campaign boasted the largest amount raised for an anime project on the site. Aside from that, no TV adaptation has been spoken of. |
