Not that I've been compiling your collective proclamations as the foundations of scripture for a new religion centered upon worship of you that I'm planning to soon spring upon the nation and developing a robot whom my legions of faithful adherents will sweep into the White House so that we might rule in your name with an iron fist, or anything. I'm also totally not building a massive temple that will dwarf Angkor what in size and absolutely destroy St. Peter's Basilica in splendor in suburban Indianapolis under the pretense that it is one of those big Targets with a grocery story in it. Uh, simply stating that you like both series equally is not exactly riling up the entire fanbase, because you're not picking sides. You may not be preferring the 'correct' option (which will change depending on who you ask), but at least you aren't hating on it either. I didn't take penguintruth's post to be inflammatory at all, because he was only taking a middle-ground and only giving his opinion. Now, if he'd instead stated that he hates both series equally, or said that both series suck, then you might be onto something.
