Holy shit, I never realized the purpose of this thread. I thought it was quotes for anime series.

Holy shit, I've been quoted in this thread.

It is, in fact, your fourth appearance. You've previously won accolades for your sex advice, your analys if physical dissociative identity disorder and your probing of the male subconscious.

Not that I've been compiling your collective proclamations as the foundations of scripture for a new religion centered upon worship of you that I'm planning to soon spring upon the nation and developing a robot whom my legions of faithful adherents will sweep into the White House so that we might rule in your name with an iron fist, or anything. I'm also totally not building a massive temple that will dwarf Angkor what in size and absolutely destroy St. Peter's Basilica in splendor in suburban Indianapolis under the pretense that it is one of those big Targets with a grocery story in it. And there's no way that Mitt Romney is a prototype doing a test run.

NO WAY!

Here's a recent one, talking about fanservice in Freezing:

That's a very succinct yet accurate point he makes.

So, from this post.

Second, WTF is up with Toriko's price? When One Piece first started coming out, the sets were only $50; $65 is crazy. I wonder what, if anything, they're planning to do with this release. Season sized art boxes perhaps?

No, it's only $5 more then what the Soul Eater prices were set at when the parts first came out. I think series like One Piece, Bleach, and Naruto come out cheaper, since more parts come out and more people tend to buy them (and a complete set release won't happen for a long while)

The King of Harts wrote:
Toriko is at 77 episodes right now is likely to become the next One Piece, Naruto, or Bleach-type show where it'll keep going as long as it stays popular. Considering it's the lead in to One Piece, one of the consistently highest rated shows on TV, and is made by the same company, a company that knows a thing or two about marketing (you know, Toei, the company behind Dragonball, Sailor Moon, One Piece, and Precure among others), it'll probably stick around for a while. So my comparison to One Piece was perfectly apt. Your comparison to Soul Eater was very wrong. As usual.

I'm not always right and I don't know everything, but don't you ever try to correct me on anything because you never know what you're talking about.

Damn. Laughing

@chippyster98,

May I suggest you check again the dates of the posts above you and compare them with the date the first episode of Ouran High School Host Club was aired. You will then see why it wasn't mentioned.

A little ways into a discussion about which of FMA 2003 vs FMA:Brotherhood people liked better in the thread for Unpopular Anime Opinions, penugintruth provided this gem.

I like both FMA series equally. Smile

Because why simply provoke half of a franchise fanbase at a time when you can provoke all of it at once?

Uh, simply stating that you like both series equally is not exactly riling up the entire fanbase, because you're not picking sides. You may not be preferring the 'correct' option (which will change depending on who you ask), but at least you aren't hating on it either. I didn't take penguintruth's post to be inflammatory at all, because he was only taking a middle-ground and only giving his opinion. Now, if he'd instead stated that he hates both series equally, or said that both series suck, then you might be onto something.
