You know if you stare at Sora and Kari for too long, you start to...

OH NO.

Davis has them, right? Shocked

Yeah. Tai gives his goggles to Davis at the beginning of 02 (the first episode if I remember correctly). Still, Digimon without the signature goggles just doesn't seem right.

Oh dear. Maybe its actually a blessing Tai doesn't get Sora. Clearly they are secretly related. Either that or lazy character designs. But I prefer to think there is scandal here. Smile

What in the.....? Im happy to finally what they look like, but that art will need some getting use to. I can only imagine if Ufotable did it instead.

Yeah...I'm...really not sure how to feel about this. I'm still super excited, but this art style...isn't very Digimon-ey. I was really hoping for something akin to the original two seasons as far as look, and this couldn't be further from that.

That's not to say it looks bad, and I'm sure it'll grow on me, but...

When saw this early this morning was shocked to see the redesigns not only changed but designed by Atsuya of all people. Makes it a bit easier to get used to for me since after seeing cencoroll and part of tsuritama know these designs work well in movement (that is to say hopefully this won't be inheriting the digimon franchise's usual budget...) so same face aside I like the look (plus his style works better with putting these simple people in colorful places so hopefully it'll have a nice color palatte).

It's still a shot in the dark as to how t will be narrative wise but I'll hope for the best.

It's not that I don't like the character designs, but I don't like this extreme change from the other two seasons. They don't even look the same characters...

Oh man, what does Cody look like in this artstyle? Shocked
Wait, isn't this only a sequel to the first anime?
02 didn't necessarily happen.

It's Gundam AGE all over again. People whining and bitching about the change in art style. Attacks the whole series... BEFORE IT EVEN AIRS!! It's not like it went from Transformers Unicron Trilogy (robot design-wise) to something as horrendous as Transformers Animated. There's not even any finished footage for us to see.

But as usual, older fans bitch and moan over the superficial crap. It's not like the art is bad, so what's the problem?

To be honest, if it's as mature as this art style suggests, or at least not as kiddy as the original series, provided that it's actually good, consider me a new Digimon fan for the first time since the franchise started as a mere Pokemon ripoff.

Huh? Most of the comments so far seem pretty open to this style.
