I'm at a loss for words at how wonderful this news is. I can't wait to play it one day. Hope it manages to live up to how great the original is.

YU-NO is excellent although the art is a bit outdated. I hope it's gonna be better than the original in many ways.

That Steins;Gate light novel was canceled probably because the company thought it was terrible. Or perhaps the opposite where it was so good or big they are making a visual novel of it instead(only speculation at this point). Either way it has nothing to do with YU-NO.

I hope the title is far enough away from "The beast that shouted love at the world" to keep Harlan Ellison from suing.

A non-ero game inspiring a porno anime when it's often the opposite.

Wait, I'm confused. So this is going to be a new visual novel?

It explicitly says it'll be a remake of an already old game released during the 90s. Or at least that's what I'm thinking about, it could have a story being the same as the original with upgraded artwork this time.

The PC 98 artwork is half the reason I like YU-NO in the first place, so I'm not much excited about that being changed. However, the "click on every inch of the screen multiple times and pray you progress" style gameplay could definitely use a revamp.

A) The sequel was a light novel, so it would have absolutely no effect on game development.

B) This "trash" is one of the most highly praised visual novels of all time. The philosopher Hiroki Azuma devoted an entire chapter in Otaku: Japan's Database Animals to analyzing it.

I remember reading an itnerview with romeo, butch gen, kinoko nasu and some other guy (might have been ryukishi 07th) in which basically all three of them said how much yu-no inspired their works, I have been curious about this since then.

Yu-No is considered pretty much a masterpiece of the genre. It was fan-translated a few years ago and I strongly recommend to play it.
