For some reason the bath episode is my favorite so far. It's not because of the fanservice either. I think it's because of the character interactions being quite entertaining.

I hope someone more nowledgeable than me posts after me, but; this is pretty much a yuri subtext series, maybe if it were directed by another studio it might not have been so but I doubt so. for what I know about those animes, this was a pretty important episode, for it shows that kirin and ryo are finally comfortable enough with each other to take a shower together, so much that they actually forgot that they were walking naked around the house with the windows open.

boy two posts in a row, just wanted to comment that I finally found out something that amuses me about this series, while this might be something common in shinbo's directing (is even the real shinbo directing this or just one of his aprentices ?) this is nto regualr anime characters with stuff happening around them those are characters acting for a camera.

After the first episode, I thought this looked like a cute little show with a neat concept, but wondered whether it was going to find enough material in that concept to last a whole series. I think it's really starting to struggle now, seven episodes in.

The style, pacing and sense of humour actually remind me quite a lot of Hidamari Sketch, which of course ran on for three seasons (plus OVAs). But I think that had the benefit of a slightly stronger cast.

I can't even find a good trailer for this series.

I want to show it to a friend.

They need to put out a cookbook for this show - or maybe post recipes for each episode when it comes out.

Not so much with this one episode, but most times I am hungry after watching this show. I have found it is better to watch this series while eating something.

Show them the OP. It's super fun and upbeat and cute.

The review nails it for episode 8. I watched this before bed last night and now that it's "this morning", even though I've read the review, I'm not sure I can remember much about the episode.

we have all had that thing that we really liked but we later find out that everyone collectively hates that same thing. this is one of those things for me, seems like everyone never gave the show a chance because the whole time they were watching it they had the buzzwords "food porn" in their head. i saw this show when it first aired not expecting anything and the over sensationalized eroticism when the girls ate the food made me laugh so hard. on top of that the animation looked really nice and i immediately was charmed by the whole package.

Episode 9 was better than episode 8.

And on the basis that "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all", I'm going to leave it there.

Episode #9

I agree that doing the Year's End-themed episode felt like the last episode of the show, I think I can guess the reason behind it: for the most part, the girls have reflected on how much their relationship has changed since they first met each other back in Episode #1, and continued by making promises that they'll still eat meals together until they're adults. This has the classical 'someone is about to move far away' trope written all over it. (My guess is that Kirin's cram school lessons are cancelled/she'll take the lessons at a school closer to her home).

If so, they'll be a chance for the show to demonstrate its characters' emotional depths and how they'll deal with it (probably slurp it down with some freshly-heated soba noodles in a soup Wink).

I was surprised by this anime and happy in a good way at the pacing and the way its put forward.

I just hope it gets a second season if there is enough of the manga left.

That wasn't bad. The show works better with the "two arcs per episode" pacing. Maybe it should have been doing this all along.

I couldn't have ever imaged a better finale for this series. I've seen a good handful of graduation sequences, but none of them felt as emotional as this one did (given its brevity, at least). The comedic moments were done well, too.

Like the reviewer said, it focused on the aspect of sharing an experience with someone, and I think it did that wonderfully.

Oh and I certainly didn't expect my eyes to be watery after the conclusion of what was a fun, silly show from the beginning.
