Mayu, Kaorin, Shiori. Mayu and Kaorin have even the same voice actress in the German dub.





Suigintou, Reinforce Eins and Kuesu



Fate, Koruri and Rachel. Funny enough, Koruri has Nanoha's seiyuu and Rachel has Hayate's seiyuu.


This happens when you dress Shinku in Suigintou's dress.


Give Hibiki Houjou Cure Melody's hair color, then you get Maria Cadenzavna Eve.



And then, something different. Lancelot Albion, Number: 39 Utopia, and Vali in Albion Armor.

I don't know, I always thought Yukio (Blue Exorcist)

and Kazuma (Noragami)

looked pretty similar. Maybe its the glasses...

A classic example I'm surprised hasn't been mentioned yet: Hikaru Shidou from Magic Knight Rayearth and girl-type Ranma Saotome from Ranma 1/2.



Back in the 1990s, I remember finding Hikaru pics when I was looking for Ranma images all of the frigging time.

I think no one has found out about the similarity of these characters yet: Usagi Tsukino from Sailor Moon and Ayumi Mamiya from Magikano, in which the latter wears her hair in nearly the same way Usagi does as a Sailor Guardian.

Good, this means I don't have to find the pics myself.

Yuuki, in the episode where he's really badly hurt and bandaged up (it's on volume 4, IIRC), looks a lot like Schuldig, too.


Can't find good pictures, but Yun from Akatsuki no Yona looks a lot like both Hisoka (Yami no Matsuei) and Omi (Weiss Kreuz).

Because they are both from Hiro Mashima, the lead boy and girl from Fairy Tail and Rave Master have similar character designs.

I need help finding a twin. I know I have seen another character that looks almost identical to him (he's from GetBackers), right down to the exact glasses, ponytail, and cheesy smile, and it's driving me crazy that I can't remember who it is:

Motoyasu Matsudaira from The Ambition of Nobuna Oda and Maya Yamada from Infinite Stratos: these women both wear glasses and have short green hair.

While I don't expect Princess Kaguya to win, I would love it if it did. It was a fantastic movie!

As for the list, don't forget Nana (from Nana) and Nana-sempai (from Golden Time), or do direct homages not count? You could also include Ichigo (from Please Teacher) and Remon (from Waiting in the Summer)...

I suspect the Magikano girl falls into the category of "obvious homage".

It's a common trend for creators to use characters for a newer series that were based off the characters of an older series.
