I also imported it. I'll probably buy it again, maybe get the Vita version since I imported the PS3 one.

To me, "Fighting Climax" sounds kind of like a porno title or a title for a harem series.

For those of you that are surprised by this announcement, I'm not. After I saw J-star Victory got picked up in the US. I knew this game would get picked up sooner or later, so I'm one of the few that wasn't surprised by this.

Not going to lie, the biggest reason I want this is so that I can beat the crap out of Kirito while playing as Shizuo.

I hope there's an english dub. It's probably asking for too much, but it would still be cool to see (especially since some never got an english voice in their home video releases)

I don't think you have to worry. I heard somewhere that SCEA demands that any games released stateside for their consoles (at least physically) include a dub.

My question is how they'll actually handle the voices. While most of the talent is LA based (i.e. Cherami Leigh as Asuna and Shana, Bryce Papenbrook as Kirito), there's still certain characters from franchises dubbed in Texas, the most evident being Mikoto from A Certain Magical Index, to say nothing of the potential hassle of casting for characters whose franchises lack dubs, including Sentai Filmworks licenses.

I wonder why this question keeps appearing, since in the states dubbing is done as an individual affair. Yes, the people that did Toy Story never met each other while doing the english dub of said picture, no matter how lively the end picture felt.

If we were speaking of the original japanese dub or a latin spanish dub (where all voice actors are present when recording) then I would understand this question being asked.

Considering this is a videogame where they only say a few catchphrases, grunts and maybe laughter and they canhear the japanese dub to get an idea of what class of acting is required, I do not think this is so difficult. wcs if they ever get a dub of said series they can choose new voice actor(s).

I don't get why people are so surprised. We already got a cross over fighter from Atlus, and Sega started releasing the Hatsune Miku games in the US as well. It wasn't guaranteed but its nowhere near the shock that some make it out to be.

Although that's contradictory because the upcoming Under-Night In-Birth is Japanese-only, same with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle. Can't see this getting a dub because it's so niche.

Anyway, interesting to see this coming stateside, but I can't help but feel people are going to get disappointed with it when they actually try to get into the mechanics because the game is WAY to straightforward. It's easy for anyone to play, but it comes at the cost of depth. They were trying to do what Persona 4: Arena was doing, but just kept turning the dial down. Which is a shame too because there IS potential here with the roster, the assist characters, the Trump Card system, etc. What I hope is that a sequel hits that potential, maybe making everyone a full character with their own assists like Marvel vs Capcom.

Might pick this up for a few of the characters (and to pummel the rest of the characters here that I dislike ;D ), but y'all can call me back when that one joke about a Love Live x im@s crossover fighter comes out because that's the only best girl fighting game we need (or a magical girl one please).

There have actually been quite a few ps3 games that have gotten physical releases without a dub. Off the top of my head: Aquapazza, Tears to Tiara 2, the Agarest series, Hakuoki, JoJo, some of the Yakuza games, and I think Arcana Heart all had only Japanese audio. (I guess you can include the miku games, but the music in those is Japanese anyway) I have a feeling this will be subbed only, there are too many characters without an English va.

I am a bit surprised at this news, but a part of me had a feeling this would get an English release. I'm down to check it out, only with a physical release.

Wow, color me surprised. Then again, we've been getting stuff like this released quite a bit more in recent memory, so maybe it shouldn't be that surprising.

Well... son of a b****

Must say I'm quite surprised, didn't think this would ever get licensed but I'm seeing more and more 'otaku' forms of media being licensed by the year and I'm telling you I'm not disappointed. Five years ago this, j-stars, criminal girls and even euphoria probably wouldn't have even been remotely considered because of their respective content, but the times are changing, the West is very slowly adapting to japan's otakus. I sincerely hope that something doesn't blow up along the line and send us back to square one.
