How is this news?
I'm not blaming Oda for taking breaks (he is human, after all), but this has been happening very frequently in the last year or so... So I'm shocked to see it pop up as news this week. |

The general assessment of the newest chapter is that it was great. He actually had a great back-story that added a lot, imo. |

It's nearly 20 years of pushing himself further and further with an increasingly stressful work schedule (last I heard he said he was averaging about 2 hours of sleep per night) finally catching up to him. I'd rather he take breaks than be found dead at his desk from exhaustion. |

He needs some sleep, there's a flu epidemic in Japan and it's extremely nasty this time. If he did get that flu strain, then he'll need the week off to get well soon.

I was very happy about the way he carried this week's chapter, and I believe that it is a well deserved break. I'd rather him be healthy than and get a little less One Piece than get a LOT LESS One Piece unlike a certain manga series I know takes long hiatuses.
