I'll have to watch Space Brothers. It sounds amazingly like Rocket Girls... but less cute!

There is whole spectrum between playing safe and doing what he does. This guy is an extremist. In all senses, his extremism and gratutitous ultraviolence permeates his entire manga production.


Why does anime have to be redeeming. We are all hell bent on telling Japan what they can and can't make. When I was growing up, the appeal of anime was that it went places America didn't. Nowadays, fans want anime to be more like the west. Hopefully, I will be dead and buried when that happens eventually.
