Remember The Titans
(The Colossal Titan is Denzel Washington, but ya can't tell. Of course Colossal is black - once you go Colossal, you don't go back! Let's see Hollywood whitewash that!)

Well, you know, at least it's better than the generic "Edge of Tomorrow" for "All You Need is Kill." I still think "All You Need is Kill" would have been a snazzy title for American theaters. -_- But meh.

I do not understand "Attack on the Titan" phrase in context of the product (manga) itself.
It has nothing to do with attacking just one certain ("the") titan. All of huge monsters are called that way, and the monsters are not singular.
Besides, I always get annoyed on how authors take existing concepts and names and butcher them for their purposes to get attention. It is not classy, cheap way to do things. Come up with your own word and name for the monsters, do not touch Greek mythology for your petty marketing purposes.
But, of course, it is not a complaint about the possible upcoming film, it is already too late to do anything about on this stage. It is just general "culture" in entertainment industry, which has lead us to the state that we have many media on "titans" but all of them are fake, none of them telling actual story of the titans as it was conceived in the ancient times.

Good good enurtsol...
I've a new title -
'ASSAULT ON THE TITANS'
Though technically the manga title indicates humanity attacking the titans. But it's probably better to go with the idea of the Titans attacking us....
As 'ATTACK OF THE TITANS'
Technically the first film will be based on defense of the city more.
The survey corps exploration part can be saved for a sequel.
Anyway, leave it to Hollywood to make the tagline more promnent than the actual title...
TRAIN. ATTACK. LIVE.
Attack on the Titan

Cool. The Japanese version looks pretty bad, so, wouldn't mind a high budget American version.

So, does this mean that Sony Pictures has the films rights to make a live action Attack on Titan movie then? In their current financial situation and now having Tom Rothman in charge now, it can't be much worse than it already is.
With Sony being so desperate for wanting more film franchises under their belt, which anime/manga title is popular with audiences these days excluding Shounen Jump? You can't go wrong with Attack on Titan after all.

Which is why I wished they went with "Attack on Titans". Either way, if there is a film made, you know anyone who goes to see it who's already a fan isn't going to call it that anyway.

Well, I hope it's more entertaining than any other anime adaptation turned live-action. I look forward to seeing how this pans out.

I wonder how long until Sony Pictures USA decides to tell what the movie is about.
