Finally. I've been waiting to see the extra 15 minutes that was included in the last episode of the Blu-ray since last year.

Bad dubs are not welcome in my house environment. This dub better sound good enough to please the esteemed ears of Byakuya Togami... I mean, me.

Disappointed they could only bring back one. Can't fault them too much since they tried to bring back VAs for other game to anime adaptations like BlazBlue.

Funi isn't even bothering to dub .hack//trilogy and who knows what they're doing with Tales of the Abyss. A recast is not the end of the world people, beats the alternative of no dub or no physical release at all. It seems to have a pretty decent cast anyway.

Uh-oh...  If that's the case, then I'm having a feeling that Funimation is going to be on the receiving end of some serious backlash for bringing back only one of the original cast members of Danganronpa, even if the new cast may be suited for all of the characters.

Looks like Bevins has some explaining to do...
Seeing as I never played the original game, it personally doesn't bother me very much, but I can understand why people would be upset with so many cast changes. BUT... if they try to pull this off with the Yuki-chan dub.... ...well then it's officially ON.

This may be slightly outlandish, but it would've been fun to see some of the Dangan Ronpa Abridged Youtube series cast get a chance, as some of them were pretty talented, despite being given outlandish takes on the characters.

since they finished recording this well over a year ago, likely long before they tackled BlazeBlue and Neptunia, I'm curious what forces in the Universe prevented funi from releasing this until now. We'll never know, but curiosity still remains.

Uh yeah, no.
Danganronpa 1 and 2 were my GOTY's in 2014 and I thought both dubs were incredible, Monica Rial as Sayaka, Greg Aryes as Monokuma and Sabat as Mondo hammered it in. This show sucked to begin with and the dub looks to be even worse. |
