This is my 2 cents

the fanservice/ecchi is pretty stupid.

but the food got me curious, so i'm not sure to drop or to watch :/

but I talked with a friend and we were debating whenever the recipes are doable.

I guess this pretty much answered our question.

The moment the recipe ingredients all came up onscreen, I was tempted to see if they were easily made IRL. I guess that proves that? I want to make the potato/bacon thing...

The manga actually has a number of recipes from the series included if you're curious about trying to make them.

That's actually one of the things I like about the series, the recipes are real and doable for the most part; just depends on how well you can do them.

The Japanese government should pass a law that any and all food-themed animes will include recipes to the dishes features in said show. Smile

Whoever said that food that looks so tasty can't be made in reality?
The producer of this show has got to make those recipes public. There are plenty of viewers out there that are just eager to try them out! Very Happy

The manga sometimes releases the recipes and cooking methods to the dishes in the series. I guess if they wanted the anime go put them in one of the in-betweens at a commercial break.

I'm a klutz in the kitchen and get befuddled by cooking terminology (recipes from nonprofessionals REALLY confuse me as they may use different terms to refer to the same thing, or the same word may mean two different things to two different people), so even easy recipes are challenges for me. Something that I will always remember is an instruction to "blend apples" making an apple cake, which I interpreted to mean taking slices of apples and putting them in a blender. That recipe also didn't specify the type of apple; as it seems, Granny Smiths' acidity prevents the cake from solidifying.

That being said, while what I end up with don't always resemble or taste like what was intended, more often than not I do like how they taste anyway.

That second dish looks good, but the first one is making my mouth water.
