Fall title huh? Interesting. I guess this will be a TV series then. Kinda looking forward to it.

I plan to at least check this anime, but I am more interested in a sequel to Total Eclipse.

Despite the issues it had I liked Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse, so an anime adaptation of Schwarzesmarken does have me interested.

The fact that it's coming so soon is also a welcome surprise.

Yes it definitely needs a follow up badly, hopefully good sales of this will convince the production committee of that.

Apparently, they'll give us anime of everything in Muv-Luv except the core story of Extra, Unlimited, and Alternative.

Shameless plug: I covered all the Muv-Luvs in an Anime Central panel on the history of âge last weekend. I re-recorded the audio to the slides and posted it to Vimeo.

The artwork looks great, so I'll see about watching this show. Maybe after this there will be a sequel to Muv-Luv Alternative.

Thanks, I've seen Minami Kuribayashi live a few times, managing to catch these songs from Rumbling Hearts, Muv-Luv's:

Rumbling Hearts (Kimi ga Nozomu Eien OP)

Signs ~Sakutsuki Hitoyo~ (Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse ED)

Doubt the World (Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse OP)

If they announce that , I'm going to freeze myself until it actually comes out.

It's funny how the series started out as an adult datim sim and ended up being an action series with aliens and mecha robots.

Yeah, I got "Signs" from Total Eclipse off of iTunes Japan, along with her 10th Anniversary STORIES collection that has 6-7 songs each from Rumbling Hearts and Muv-Luv. I love that "Signs" is in 6/8 time. There's a music video of it out there.

Yes, I bought the CD single with the DVD of the videoclip, and also have it on the Animelo Summer Live 2012 day 2 blu-ray set.

Which adult dating sim are you counting as the start: Muv-Luv Extra, or Rumbling Hearts? Because the former is technically a sequel to the latter.

I think the most interesting thing I found in my research was when Muv-Luv fans were asserting that Attack on Titan was inspired by Muv-Luv Alternative, and I initially assumed that to be "overlooked-franchise fan butthurt", but when I looked into it, I found this interview (in Japanese) in which AoT manga-ka Hajime Isayama is asked straight up about the similarities between MLA and AoT, and he credits both Rumbling Hearts and Muv-Luv with being big influences on him.

Carnelian is a godly artist. I just wonder how well the designs will be adapted for animation.

I'll watch this, of course, but damn it age give us our original trilogy adaptation already!

I'm sort of confused about Muv-Luv. It has alternative universes or something. I don't care that much about mechas, but Total Eclipse had its good moments. Hopefully, like Total Eclipse, this will be available on Crunchyroll in my country
