Dude, no offense, but that was both noisy and terrible to listen to. Last edited by Just-another-face on Tue Jun 02, 2015 10:19 pm; edited 1 time in total |

What I REALLY want is for Mega Man X to finally be put into cartoon form. Sure, it'd be Casshern but blue but at least we get Zero.

I don't really have high hopes for this, seeing as how Man of Action's got a pretty spotty track record.
Hell, even Disney was able to do a better job than them WITH THEIR OWN STORY. Big Hero 6 was like the first time I saw an adaptation of a comic book be BETTER than its source material. So yeah, even though I love Mega Man to bits, I don't expect much from this. |

I think Megaman X would make a great anime, or US cartoon.

I don't have much experience with megaman but I do have a bit of intrest so I'll hope for the best and keep my ears out. Sonic Boom's cartoon wasn't catastrophically terrible (though it's far from being a great cartoon) and while I only know man of action from ben 10 (though I did want to try generator rex) I can keep my expectations tempered.

3-D CGI can look good if done well, but it tends to require a huge budget to make action scenes look decent. Mainframe Entertainment tends to be very good with this sort of thing, though they do get dated quickly due to the nature of the medium. As for Flash, it's a relatively new thing and people are still trying to figure out what to do with it. It's the animation equivalent of the microwave oven: It is pretty limited, but it can do things no other technique can do. Note that we haven't really had any action shows using Flash--they have all been comedies. Also note that Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law was animated in Flash but hand-drawn, frame by frame, exactly like traditional 2-D animation. The lion's share of television animation is old-fashioned 2-D non-Flash stuff though, especially action shows. I don't think there's any need for alarm about this.
As long as it doesn't take from the Brazilian one. But I think everyone in the business is now wise enough not to bring in fanfiction writers sight unseen. (For the record, the Brazilian Mega Man comic books were written by fanfiction writers and fanartists, with the story passed along to another team every few issues. There was total creative freedom, so you had stuff like an aged-up Roll being naked for most of the series, a colossal amount of angst, and characters used as political soapboxes. Not to mention, due to the way the baton passed with no direction or supervision, art styles would change wildly, and the plot kept shifting in focus.) |

Over the last few years, Archie have been releasing something new every month. As for this, I like Man of Action (more to do with what some of that group have done in comics), so I do think this may be in good hands. Personally, would've preferred something to do with Mega Man X. |

Wakfu is about the best action series out there using Flash, Season 1&2 should still be on Netflix. Funny thing is when I first saw Wakfu my first thought was "This is how a new Mega Man animated series should be like." |

Well Casshern Sins was already a Mega Man Zero anime. Though you could have light hearted episodes of a Mega Man X show as I can totally see an episode where X would look for a missing cat or something. |

The only show by MOA that really sucked was "Avengers Assemble," but even that got better in season 2 when they got the writers of "Earth's Mightiest Heroes." MOA has "Ben 10," "Generator Rex," and "Big Hero 6" to give us more optimism. |

Hoping for a Sonic Boom like tie-in game.

Are you sure about that? Having a new "Mega Man" game wouldn't be worth it if it were complete scheisse. |

You've gotten over 6 dozen megaman games over the course of 20 some odd years and your upset because Capcom greenlit another animated series instead of commissioning another megaman sequel people will complain about not being as good as one of it's predecessors. Or a spin-off people that people will complain about because of how different it is from the original games?
That explains why the 2nd season of Assemble is a lot weaker than the first with plot-holes, ass-pulls, & rushed writing. |

It's kind of awesome that we're getting a new American action cartoon. It's kind of not awesome that Man of Action's behind it.
Here's to hoping they do a good job, though. |

Ah, Wakfu was Flash? I haven't seen any of it, so I didn't know. |
