While I wasn't denying that Earth exists in the Phantasy Star mythos, I actually forgot about PSZ being set on Earth/Coral (though most definitely not in the near future). Earth hasn't been mentioned in PSO2 yet after 3 episodes, and considering Sega has pretty much abandoned any kind of connection to the old PS games beyond very loose speculations, this adaptation has a higher chance to be another "trapped in an MMO" anime to promote the current game... will have to see what happens. |
