As much as I like the FFVII soundtrack and think it works really well in context, I think both Advent Children and Crisis Core had better remixes of some of FFVII's best songs, and better songs for stand-alone listening (even though some of CC's songs felt out of place in the game itself).

Favorite Advent Children songs:

- Beyond the Wasteland
- Battle in the Forgotten City

Favorite Crisis Core songs:

- Crisis Core Theme - True Motives
- Crisis Core Theme - New Assignment
