I thought he did have the byakugan and that his lack of Hyuga eyes was an oops that made it all the way to official promo material before anyone caught it so it couldn't be changed. Did I read that somewhere, or was that just a really strange dream?

true after all there has never been a half Hyuga character before so for all we know his eyes might change when he activates it (like Uchiha and the Sharingan) or he might still have it but his eyes look normal
besides both Hinata and Neji used the gentle fist style many times without the Byakugan active

oops sorry didn't mean to troll though  i just made it up man sorry if i wasted ur time. but to be honest i thought it was anko and kabuto since anko got that fat.

everyone's kinda predicting that considering he looks like him and all.
though its also a possibility that he might be anko's if she's alive that is cause they completely forgot her after orochimaru was revived during the 4th great ninja war arc.

yeah she's alive, she was in one panel of the epilouge chapter at the end of the manga
