They also have Rahxephon on Amazon Prime. The BD has been out in Japan for 7 years. I wonder what the hold up is bringing it over? It can't be reverse import fears. Maybe licensing fee for BD is too high?

Maybe Angel’s Egg, but I have a feeling some reason unrelated to fan interest continues to hold that one up. This feels like a personal challenge after saying there are better shows than Gunparade March out there for them to license. Ok, what do I have? Bridge to the Starry Skies, Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi . A harem style romance anime done by the Go Zappa gang. Get this, it has an actual... and very memorable... resolution to its love triangle/mess. Seitokai Yakuindomo. Yeah, why hasn't this been licensed yet? Da Capo. Well, they licensed To Heart 2... and Little Busters!... and Photokano… the ef series... Amagami and Kimikiss... wow, they really do like these kind of game adaptation, don't they? So why not? Right, Da Capo, an early and most likely least "harem game into harem anime" adaptation. But it's still one of them. That has to count for something. Battle Athletes Victory, a license rescue so it's already dubbed. |

On the Survey I put down:
REC (These 10 shorts are better than most longer romance titles) Banner of the Stars III (Come on it's 2 episodes) Kemonozume (While it may not be pretty the story is pretty good.) Real Drive (Original Creator: Masamune Shirow 'nuff said.) I am somewhat hopeful since the last time they had one of these two of the things I put down were actually picked up by them. |

Well this would have saved me a hell of a lot of shelf space, and probably some decent cash to boot. Sometimes I feel like FUNi puts out condensed versions of series too quickly, but Sentai definitely has the opposite problem: they have multiple titles that were released as half-season sets years ago and yet have never received a complete collection...which is inevitably announced two weeks after I buy the multiple sets. |
