I'd never thought about Miller for this, but he's the first name I've heard that would've made me perk up my ears for this project. To even have a prayer of getting Akira right, you need exactly the kind of action he can deliver, but it can't be mindless spectacle for spectacle's sake.
Oh well; this project remains the Sargasso Sea of Hollywood.

I think the WB might as say the project should be abandoned considering the development limbo it's been in. But no, I think they will just give some BS answer that is continuing on.
