Yuki, Ritsu, and Sakura would probably make my list. Also just quickly off the top of my head, both Henrietta and Rico from Gunslinger Girl, Aki from Silver Spoon, Hitomi from Escaflowne, Meryl from Trigun, and Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service all immediately came to mind as other short-haired female characters that I've liked. Don't ask me to put them in any kind of rank order, though.

 Her persona of being a cat was always amusing to me.

Generally satisfied with the rankings. Nice to see love for the short haired girls. I have one issue though. They have Rin and Hanayo from love live but Maki doesn't make the list? *flips table*

If I were to pick from just the last season, I'd go with either shirayuki or Flamie. Jury's still out on this season though.

This seemed to be a more even handed poll, sure, Love Live! looms large still but there were some classic characters in there going back for some time.
Nami was in since it's a "character who looks best in short hair" poll so there's a few people who feel she should go back. My own choices would Nagato, Ritsu from K-On and Hotaru from Aohara Machine Gun. |

I thought the same thing. I guess multiple hair styles are allowed as long as that character had short hair. If that was the case then I most certainly would have gone with Yozora Mikazuki from Haganai. |
