I remember when we had an arcade-sized console that tried the same "Coin on the mirror" hologram effect, and a lot bigger than this one.
(Unfortunately, it was attached to a crappy laserdisc game that was more interested in showing off the technology.)

As for putting it in the middle of a game table, however...Okay, I'll admit, I'm also finding the "Why can't we have REAL Yu-Gi-Oh?" more distracting than the fact that it's Miku. Anime smile

I guess I'm the first one to think of The Eye of Judgment before Yu-Gi-Oh! Heck, I thought of Hearthstone before Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Hardly particularly new tech. It might be decent if they had made the viewing area of the table much larger. But as it is, it is but a gimmick.

And there is no need for so many projectors. They could have easily shaved a significant number of those out. The image would be a little jerky, but with a viewing area that small it wouldn't be particularly noticeable.

The first video seems almost exactly like the holographic "chess" game in the original Star Wars movie.

At least we're on the highway to hell yeah! Tiny can only get bigger and who better to implement with than Miku! I can't wait to see full life sized true holographic Miku performance. Keep cutting that edge Crypton!!!

With a roundabout design of the projector, people can enjoy watching Miku perform from anywhere. Smile

Neat! Now if they could make one big enough to put under a venue stage that would be the ultamate vocaloid concert and no screen attenuation. You know it's coming. Wink

No, no, the ultimate one is going to come when they can generate plasma holograms of an appropriate size.
