I feel so uncool...The only one of these I've read is Takane to Hana. (Which is fantastic, by the way.) Though Ooku is on my to-do list...

Yay for Ooku and Takane to Hana! I also need to start a lot of these.

I like these lists because it shows another side to the manga culture in Japan. I think some of us Western fans get so caught up in the usual, mainstream titles, we neglect to think of these other titles that usually (and very sadly) go unheard of.

Surprised Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii sold so much, the premise and title is interesting enough for it's market but the actual content is quite anti-climatic. You'd think with a title like that it would go through the struggles of an Otaku (or Fujoshi) finding love or hanging on to a lover but instead within the first 6 chapters the main character conveniently fulfills finding love with a very understanding/compatible childhood friend who happens to be good looking and works at the same company department.

In otherwords instead of expecting a story the cover and first chapter tease at, you get the complete opposite almost as if the author intended this to be almost satirical.

Which, sadly, is pretty easy to do...as some of these titles, which sounds interesting, go unlicensed. And, I don't read manga digitally, so unless they're licensed and printed in English...I never get to check them out beyond reading a synopsis.
