I know I'm being an arsehole here, but meh, the new L looks lame. I know this L is not the same L from the DN but hey, L was freakin' stylish despite the black bags! Should've gone to much more better-looking dudes...

In the new film's story, the present-day, highly advanced information society is beset by global cyber-terrorism in 2016. New charismatic figures, who inherited the DNA of Light (previously played Tatsuya Fujiwara) and the detective L (Ken'ichi Matsuyama), emerge. The successors of the two geniuses will wage a war over six Death Notes on Earth.

That sounds terrible. I thought it was just six Death Notes fall, people find out about Light's actions, and chaos ensues. I liked the TV show they did but when they had that trailer at the end I was really excited and felt a little like that was a better setup for a tv series than what they had... now not so much.
