Technically, wouldn't this be the second sequel? The original manga ended before the anime premiered, then she continued the story with a whole new storyline.

The original manga (and anime series) ends with Kabamaru going back to the mountains with his grandfather and Hayate.

Ah...very nice to hear that, this one is a very dear memory from my childhood.

And Yuu Azuki coming back after three decades! I'm wondering what made her stop, and why start again now..
