Well, this one was easy, got them all. Seen eight of the shows either wholly or at least a few episodes (for the altar of the three episode rule). The rest were through a process of elimination, having seen three out of four, and one educated guess as the image did not match what I had read of other shows (Maid Team).

I did considerably worse than the 90s poll.

Except for the two animes with maids, i got 10 out of 12 correct.

God. Remember Anime Insider?

Sure do. Loved it. Also loved Animerica and Protoculture Addicts. Those were the days. When print media was still relevant enough to warrant multiple anime magazines. Always loved the April Fool's day specials.

Elfen Lied was WAY too easy Confused

Consider yourself most lucky. I found that Elfen Lied was the only easy one, perhaps along with Mahoromatic.

Put Haruhi on the headline for the clickbait and then leave it out of the survey. That's lovely.

Still wish they'd finally finish the freaking Getbackers manga.

For english releases? Absolutely. I read the ending and it was fantastic. A new anime would also be great.

12/12. At least it was varied? I mean it could have a list of just maids and sailor uniforms. Can't wait until the 2010s and we get "Guess the LN main character" questions.

Black hair, black uniform, average height, it's on the tip of my tongue...
Black hair, white uniform, average height, I know this one, it's that wizard guy. One of them anyway...
Black hair, no uniform, average height... Pass.

Only missed the two I hadn't seen, Kamichu & My-Hime and didn't even guess on the rest. Thought I was going to do worse (I think I've misjudged the date ranges of shows), but I think that will happen on the 2010 poll...

So many people haven't seen Kamichu? Darn, this needs to come back in print. Sad

Dude, I've had subs to Animerica, Protoculture Addicts, Anime Insider, Otaku USA and the little remembered Tokyopop magazine AND its precursor MixxZine over the years at one point or another. Plus I've got copies of AI's former Anime Invasion magazine and the 90s Chibi-Pop Manga magazine. Oh yes, I used to be deep into anime magazines.

Anyway, 11/12 for me, haven't seen Kamichu though I remember coming close to buying it at Best Buy a few times, but couldn't remember what the characters looked like. Is it worse that people don't know what Rune Hunter Louie is or that people thought it was a Slayers series?

And BTW 2008 was definitely a high point, economy be damned! I mean, just look at that list! Time of Eve, Toradora!, Natsume's Book of Friend, Spice and Wolf, Soul Eater, Ponyo, Casshern Sins, and a whole lot more. So much good stuff!
