I can see why people would be hesitant to give it a shot: It's rather long, based on an infamously incomplete manga and has a pretty slow and uninteresting start (I would've probably dropped it if it wasn't for all those recommendations).

Does anyone know why they stopped reviewing this series? They just stopped at episode 65, only like 10 episodes away from the completely new content.

Watched the first episode on Toonami.

Leorio sounds like a little boy, instead of a man.

Kurapika sounds like a girl, instead of a boy.

Despite that, it is great that it is dubbed and showing on Toonami.

Dude the dub is AMAZING so far. I've never heard one that I like so much and is this faithful to the original. Did you hear that captain's voice? His lines and his voice were so much like the original.

I think it's a given they will sound younger and more naive in the beginning, just like in the original I expect the actors to get progressively deeper and more expressive as the story develops. Although I could already hear some of that in Kurapika's voice.

The only nitpicky thing I have was some pronunciations of the names, but you can tell they are really trying.

Managed to catch this. So far it hasn't grabbed me like many 1st episodes from shonen jump series have, but it wasn't bad. Guess I'll see how next week is =)

Yeah, I figured that was going to be a reveal down the line, but looking it up later that night, nope.
