Glad to see Ace Attorney start strong. If they were to make a Professor Layton TV series, I imagine it would do well in the ratings, too.

While I may not currently be too enthusiastic with how the anime is being handled, I'm definitely happy to see it do so well ratings-wise. Especially if it means more Ace Attorney anime and games adapted down the line Very Happy.

What did people expect? that it would be able to compete with the big boys? not unless it replaced an ending show in one of the big 1 hour slots like Attorney replaced Kindaichi.

Just look at this weeks top 10 there are 5 single hour slots and 1 half hour slot.

7 Taizai charted in the same slot HeroAca is in. A 6.3 even.

Nanatsu didn't chart until two months after it started airing, first episode didn't crack the top 10. Not sure why people are putting HeroAca under so much pressure like its expected to be a hit out the gate especially when its coming after the lowest rated Gundam anime on the block. Just give it time to catch on, the manga as predicted is flying off shelves so its off to a good start. On that note does anyone has the extended rankings?

7 Taizai charted 6 times out of 24 aired episodes.

The premier charted because 3 of the big 8 didn't air the week it premiered.

The only episode to get a 6.3 was the final.

They don't leak anymore. They haven't since 2012. Sad

Well I can't say that I'm surprised that Ace Attorney is doing so well given how widely popular the video game series is in Japan and around the world. Smile

Just a fair reminder: it's way too early to speak about Ace Attorney anime doing well. It have an amazing TV-slot, so it's guaranteed to appear in this top. But Denpa Kyoushi had a higher ratings for the first episode and then it went down very quickly and even harmed ratings of Detective Conan.

So they put a no-budget and rushed let´s play on TV and now entered the top 10. It will drop soon enough and my favorite attorney deserves better. The life action film is slight better and that´s saying something. At least it will advertise the new game...
