So sad
There seem to be so many young deaths in this industry. What's going on? Is it it the workload?

So very sad that he passed away so prematurely. 43 is just too young of an age to die... Could this unfortunate passing of Mr. Matsu-san be the result of overwork?

I really enjoyed the Papakiki story, I've known people that lived out similar tales. Sad that Matsu-sensei passed so young. Thoughts and prayers for his family, friends & fans.

My condolences. I enjoyed his works too.
There's an error in the article, he wrote 18 novels, not 15, of Listen to Me, Girls! ..., the last one was published in March 2015.

RIP, Karoshi claimed another novelist.
I enjoyed Papakiki enough that I bought the BDs. It's a good series, I wished it got a second season.

Papakiki was one of those rare stories that tugged you hard...it was like Clannad to me, made me tear up as well. He did a wonderful job with wonderful characters and story.
RIP

Sad to hear of his passing. I enjoyed and appreciated both PapaKiki and Mayoi Neko Overrun's adaptations, in both manga and anime forms. Those wouldn't have come about without Matsu's work on his light novels. May he rest in peace and his family find some relief in their time of loss.

I do feel bad, lost a very talented guy. And really like Mayoi and Papa.
Papa wasn't tasteful especially given the ending and who he ended up with. I believe he ends up with the oldest daughter and not Raika, which is bad because although not related to him, she unlike the middle sister was a half sister by blood to the youngest who was related to him, ie there kids will be both cousins and nieces/nephews to the youngest daughter, also there is the fact he basically treated her like a younger sister to take care of through the whole work, and then ends up with her.

I'm very sad to hear this... Best wishes for his family.
Rest in peace.
In my opinion, 2016 can go f*ck itself, it's taken way too many people i care about in one way or another already...

Sad to see him pass at such a young age. I enjoyed by Neko Overrun and Papakiki.
