I think it's a pretty great thing. Lots of ADV/Geneon titles that have been oop forever seem to be getting picked up. Not sure the specific reasons at Sentai all of a sudden doing it but it has me excited for the future. If sentai can rescue Nanoha and release it I'd be the happiest girl ever as those aftermarket dvd prices are so awful and there's no legal way to watch the dub (as far as I know) so I haven't been able to ever see the series and I want to badly =/

Like Funimation does not save old titles? Rolling Eyes

Good that Sentai get's some old series. Even if it's a mediocre series.

I would be so down for that to happen. I tried to find a used copy but Nanohais nowhere to be found.

I actually thought this series wasn't too bad, sure it had its fair share of ecchi moments and it was typically predictable but it wasn't bad by any means, I remember one scene which nearly made me spit my drink out though involving the triplet sexy maids, it wasn't bad - just unexpected lol

There is no legal way to view a subtitled version of the first two series, either.

If Sentai licensed StrikerS, they would have a guaranteed buy from me, as that third series was never legally available here (or outside of Asia, AFAIK).

I thought this and it's predecessor were particularly good and fun fanservice titles it's good that this show is being rescued. I already own the Geneon discs so a rerelease doesn't really interest me though.

Anyhow speaking of old titles what is the hold up with all those Bandai rescues Sentai (and Funi too) salvaged years ago?

I think I got this as part of a Rightstuf single dvd deal in the mid 2000s. Really don't remember much of anything about. Seems like an ok enough series if you are in to mid 2000s harem anime

Quite possibly be a receiving a materials sort of thing. That's just my own opinion, nothing to base off this theory.
