It makes me want to buy a PS4 just to enjoy her final role (SRW Moon Dwelers). It's such a sad thing to see this right as I wake up, I was even replaying OG1 last night. |

This really hurts since she was well known in the Gundam Community as Carris from Gundam X But I can't imagine what her family is going through.

This one hit me hard. I watched Zillion with its original Japanese audio for the first time a few months back, and Mizutani's performance as Apple made me love the character even more than when I watched the Portuguese language dub decades ago. I didn't even know she was married to Nishikubo, with whom she worked on Zillion and Shurato. She could play just about any role really well, and I'll miss her voice.

This is a particularly devastating blow to Digimon fans, considering that this news of her death was only a month after the reported death of singer Kouji Wada.
Rest in peace, Mrs. Mizutani-san. You were a truly wonderful actress. |

coincidentally, she was also Lakshu in Shurato.Even the main heroes and love interests from both series were also voiced by the same person too,Toshihiko Seki. |

By the way, I think it's worth mentioning her more notable role from Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam was as Sarah Zabiarov, not Cheimin Noa. It would be nice if the ANN news article reflected that. |

Yeah, I noticed that, and both shows also had Kazuhiko Inoue as the blond second male lead (Champ in Zillion, Reiga in Shurato). Nishikubo probably just wanted to get the Zillion gang back together when he directed Shurato, although I wish he had also employed the same crack team of animators, who went on to join Mitsuhisa Ishikawa at Production I.G. |

I've read two obits on two boards, and this is the first post I've heard anyone mention Mihoshi. You'd think that would be a little more iconic in fans' minds than Chibi Maruko-chan. (Although we'll grant Pinoko as iconic, too.) |
