My personal solution to the gym poaching problem would be to just automatically give the person who defeated the gym a chance to add their pokemon in, instead of making them exit out, go back in, and hope no one else snagged it first.

Nintendo's usually there, and if not there, then at the Marriott right next door. They even held a special event for Splatoon's final Splatfest this year, as it was set at the same time as the convention. Especially since San Diego Comic-Con is now dominated by TV more so than comics, the question is really "Why not?" Interesting Niantic got its own SDCC panel though. They've shot up in the mobile gaming world faster than Rovio. |

Comic Con hasn't been about comics for about 15 years. Comics are niche and not really popular, so It's more about popular movies and tv shows now. I can understand the frustration of having your convention hijacked though.
