I think that a majority of Pokemon fans hear would prefer the books uses quotes from the 4kids dub of the show versus the PUSA dub. This is because so many grew up with the 4kids dub and they might see the PUSA as having a weaker vocal quality.

I'd imagine this isn't likely to contain many quotes from beyond the first season or first game generation, given that it's being published on the heels of Pokemon Go and that doesn't have any Pokemon past the original 151.
