I honestly wonder if there are parts of the United States where it would not be legal to sell My Wife is the Student Council President. It doesn't show much, but it is crazy suggestive, and the title character is indubitably a minor (she celebrates her 16th birthday mid-way through the series)

I doubt it. Yosuga being illegal in some places is more understandable than Okusama

YES!! I was one of the people begging for a YnS bluray rerelease every chance I could get and it's finally happening They may not have anything in terms of huge market appeal but I'm really in love with this new Media Blasters as of late, so many low key anime getting bluray releases and dubs and I couldn't be more happier, keep it Media Blasters I plan to buy every single one

If Media Blasters does not offer a piece of shit or rewritable BD, I will be tempted to buy Yosuga no Sora.

A lot of ecchi anime has underage characters and pretty much anything can be sold and purchased in the US due to it being fiction. FUNimation has never had issues selling stuff like Highschool DxD, and there are characters who are far younger than 16 in a lot of these series (Loli characters). Definitely glad the US isn't restrictive when it comes to this stuff. |

And Media Blasters returns from the dead for another year on life support. Fantastic. New full series, with or without a dub, this would be something but this is just rehashing.
The only reason I have Rio was that I needed the free shipping. I watched it and just like Yosuga no Sora, I'll leave it at that. This company should be trying to follow Diskotek, like when they relicensed Jubei Chan, rather than dubbing or releasing the properties they already... own... Wait, is dubbing now cheaper than licensing new properties? Wow, 1) how far we've come and 2) Do they still own Simuon or Strawberry Panic? At least those were complete shows with stories, these are just ideas of shows. |

I might re-watch Okusama ga Seitokaichou just to hear Osana's voice come out of Ui's mouth.

Ditto. I will buy it if it's not a BD-R. If it is, I'll pass. I have literally zero interest in having one of those in my collection. Even as much as I enjoyed this series, I won't support that release method. |

Same here. Media Blasters screwed me over once with their DVD-R release of Yosuga no Sora the first time. They'll never screw me over that way again. If other buyers report that it's actually a pressed BD, I might be able to overcome my loathing of them and buy one. Might. |

@angelmcazares, relyat08 & wastrel: If it helps, they didn't use BD-Rs for Ladies Vs. Butlers, they actually used 2 pressed BD50s for that set and other than one complaint over the encode (MPEG-2 instead of AVC), there hasn't been any other problems with the set that I know of so these new BD releases should be fine.

It's fictional drawings, so it's technically legal. Probably highly frowned upon by modern US society, but not illegal. At least not yet. I'm still waiting for the day when there is some sort of child porn case in the US that someone gets linked to lolis or underage drawings, and there is a cry for them to be illegal. I'll bet within 20 years nude, underage drawings (like some anime) will be illegal in the US. |

That's really great to hear! I have recovered some faith in them. |
