Was hoping for a normal 3rd season with 12episodes but a movie will be nice too, as long as we get more of pervy comedy Razz

How do you make a movie about a manga whose plot consists entirely of double entendres? Entendre?

Seriously, a slice-of-life anime makes sense on TV, but in theaters? Something has to happen. Even the K-On! girls wrote a new song while traveling to England.

The slice-of-life comedy story…

I think you mean "non-stop stream of double-entendres and dick jokes". Not that we're complaining.

I too was hoping for a 3rd season. Maybe they'll announce it after the movie

it seems to me like a lot of shows have been getting the movie treatment lately, i know series had movies before but there have been a lot more annpiced than usually lately,

not that it is a bad thing, higher budget equals more greater animation and direction (most of the time anyway)

This should be interesting. More SYD is always welcome.

So far, I count 14 in total. Season 1 had 8 OVAs, season 2 is scheduled to get 6.

Hope it gets a massive budget, relative to what it's had. SYD's never been that great looking, or well animated, but it never quite needed to be.
