From the little snippet of music, it seems like Kenji Kawai is in charge of the soundtrack, which is a relief.

Nonsense. There's a lot of people looking forward for this film including myself based on previous post here. But, let's just kept the meme going.

Why hasn't the movie received its MPAA rating yet?

I don't know, does a post of nothing but braindead hashtags violate Teh Rules? If it doesn't, it sure feels like it should.

Per IGN, Clint Mansell is handling the scoring duties for the live-action Ghost In The Shell film.

As much as I would have loved Kenji Kawai doing the soundtrack, Clint Mansell is definitely no slouch.

I might watch this movie if Maaya Sakamoto or Atsuko dub Motoko. The last gits movie I saw with a whole 3 other people in the theatre. I wonder if a Superbowl commercial can really bring in enough people? Fans of Gits are protesting this movie. I don't take back my tags. If people want to support this movie they should probably start talking about it.... #gitsmovie lol

I imagine it will get some attention and earn a decent amount. Maybe even getting Adult Swim to bring back GiTS.

But I will not be paying to see the film. I still find it wrong for them not to have an Asian actress play the Major. Plus I find Scarlett to be an overrated, wooden actress.

I'm definitely going to go see this in theaters. As a half Asian American, I personally think the controversy surrounding the film is misguided for a variety of reasons, and I think the trailers so far look like a compelling and faithful attempt at capturing the spirit of the franchise, so I'm interested.

If this movie flops its because the Japanese had a heavy influence on the CGi, you can pretty much tell the similarities between Live action Japanese cgi and American Cgi and it looks as if the influence of the graphics stem from a Japanese perspective.

The new footage looks pretty awesome. I can hardly wait to see this.
Ever since I picked up those GITS issues from darkhorse back in the
day around 94-5, I've always dreamed of what Live action GITS would
be like. Now its here. Its like one of my wish came true.
