Does this mean anything for the future of Project Diva Games? Noticed these guys are only mentioned when it comes to the PSP Games, not the Vita or PS4 Games. So does this have any effect on future Project Diva Games coming to PS4 or Vita? Also does anyone know if the PS Vita and PS4 games were successful in Japan, enough to warrant more games being made, presuming this doesn't impact it?

Dingo didn't work on any of the later games, so this wont impact the future of the series. Crypton Future Media worked on the most recent games.

To be honest, I didn't really like the diva games that much and future tone wasn't that good either, putting everything behind paywalls. I honestly thought the project mirai series on 3DS was so much better.

You know, all this time I thought Dingo only worked on producing the 3D animation model aspects rather than designing the games themselves, except in the case of maybe Photo Kano and Reco Love.

Still, that's one hell of a debt. I'm curious about what went wrong.

That's only about 3 million dollars. Hardly a fortune.

Didn't Project Diva sell really well? I wonder what happened.

Can PLEASE somebody edit that news to make it less misleading?
Like some people said, they weren't even involved in recent PD games, so the series future won't be affected by that at all...

Most of these businesses are truly small operations, so $3 million is significant for them where for some of the big companies that would be the equivalent of change found under the couch cushions. It doesn't take much to push any business into red ink even if they have a product that sells well.

It's sad to see a developer who makes some good rhythm games bid farewell. I've played School Idol Paradise (owned 3 LE volumes with free nendos) which IMO is underrated gem but I felt I liked this game more than SIF.

No, but #m in outstanding against 89K in operating is not a deathbed confession either. Does this #m also include overhead? likely that's a no, but even after you pay overhead against 89K operating, that 3M is likely not all due at once, you still have variables in your payoff, whether it be NET10, NET30, 45...

The greater issue is what do hey have coming in? Is there anything outstanding that they are due for past work and jobs still not closed out? And, what are the prospect of jobs they still have out on bid, simply because that game may not realistically be as heavy as it sounds.

While, it sounds bad as reported, there are still a lot of variables out there, not disclosed either. Bankruptcy is also not always a case that we can't pay our bills and there is no way forward either; there are times where it is strategic to devalue oneself in hope of new money coming in, or to poise oneself for an acquisition.

But, I'll digress cause this is an anime forum and not a finical forum, and the complexity of the discussion could get so well beyond the scope of ANN, that it would boggle the mind.

You should really edit the article, it's a bit misleading, this won't affect the Hatsune Miku games at all.

Very unfortunate this happened...The red tape was just too much for small company Dingo, despite Project Diva selling well. At least the title still lives to see another year...

They were better than the Future Tone games (better animation and 3DTV, more player-friendly rhythm buttons, and the "Diva room" side areas were cute), but the PS4 went with the flashier, bigger-packed game instead.

Anyway, whew, just so long as it's not Crypton falling into bankruptcy and pulling the plug on Miku... Shocked

Project Diva is going to be fine, Sega makes them now, Dingo has not been involved since the PSP games.
