Actually, did anyone else feel worried that Zouroku had trouble remembering the name of the green flower arranging blocks? Given they're a tool of his trade. Certainly here they're known as "OASIS".
Wonder if that's setting up later drama?

Well, the current story arc is about the mind and how the people are not really them with their mind and will taken. So I could see the possibility of hinting at something bad to pop up, and somewhat surprising if so.

Sana had the same problem. So I'm thinking it's definitely a plot point.

I dunno about that, we all have little brain farts from time to time, even about things we KNOW we know, like names of close relatives, or simple words or concepts.

Like the person who forgot 'milk' was a word and called it 'cereal water'.

Aside from Sana, who can basically wish for anything she want, I think it was established that each of the Alice's only had one power -- in Hatori's case, that is controlling people. Hence, I kind of had the thought that someone maybe interfered in their fight, since I don't think Sana or Hatori can cancel each other's powers out just like that. They didn't really establish anything of the sort, though, so I'm not entirely sure. I just found it odd, like the alice-power version of an adult clamping down on the hands of two children fighting to prevent them from hitting each other.

I hadn't given it that much thought as to why, but that was my impression as well, that it was someone else interfering.

It was kind of funny watching Sana get frustrated. That she captures the girl telling her to feel sorry for what she did through some sort of punishment because that is what she should get if she did something wrong, but got an apology straight away. She does not know how to feel, and trying to fit things into black or white are not working. Like trying to tell a kid that some things are more complicated than what they think, and a real good person should try and talk things out. To maybe take from a different genre, but perhaps with how magical girl shows apart from some obviously bad things also include elements of grey in trying to talk things out, which is something the age group has to learn after being taught the difference between right and wrong.

It was actually a little strange in ways that the first arc could be about removing the grey zone that regardless of what Sana's origins may be she is still a child, and this is building the grey zone up. But that might just be part of what I said earlier about first teaching the difference between right and wrong, before learning that sometimes people don't exist just in those areas. Someone who slighted you without understanding is not someone who should go to jail.

I haven't found much worth commenting on in this series, but I ended up appreciating episode 11 more than any of the previous 10, and not just because of the wonderfully creative visuals. It's easily one of my favorite episodes of any series this season.

I've really enjoyed the last three episodes as it's done an impressively subtle job of capturing a child having to come to terms with the concept of moral nuance in Sana and Hatori's interactions. Also the whimsical magical dreamland of Wonderland is really fun to look at.

While the fact that it's strewn with statues seemingly commemorating Sana's good memories is simply adorable.

While I can't agree that this was the show's best episode, it was still a very strong penultimate installment.

This was a great ending to a solid show. Definitely going to be missed.

Unfortunately, Zoroku often felt like a supporting character in a series that gave him top-billing.

Agreed. The show felt more like "Alice and other cute little girls & oh, there's also that old geezer, whatshisname?" than "Alice & Zoroku" a lot of the time...but well, it was still an enjoyable enough little series, even though the first couple of episodes and the rest of the show almost felt like two completely different anime.

I liked this show; I'm glad I watched it. I also think it had the right amount of screen time for Zoroku.
