The more I look at this cover art—mesmerising though it is—the more it appears that Utena is depicted as a centaur. Aside from those of the feminine Napoleon, I can only see equine legs!

The abs totally threw me off at first look and I thought it was a broken headed horse. A second look revealed it's a muscular horse stomach, so I quickly fixed it.

Oh my god, what?!?!?! Inu Curry? Utena? A new Seazer Utena song????? And Ikuni helped???????? I can't believe we're getting new Utena stuff, no matter how minor, in the year 2017. This is amazing.

Isn't the rider Anthy, with the TV series / manga somewhat curly hair in a bun hairstyle? I'd say it's "Anthy as Napoleon." |

Hard to say, but that's definitely a valid interpretation. The hair is purplish and her bun could be in the hat (although her glasses are gone and her skin is..green). The pattern on the cape could be deconstructed roses on vines (thus the rose bride). And Utena's a friggin horse so anything goes. |

I think that is olive skin tone, which has green undertones. It's not that uncommon with people with Indian subcontinent heritage, so it's sort of consistent with Anthy. I admit that I just think that it should be Anthy because what else really makes sense? |
