My understanding is that they'll skip Dancing Very Merry Christmas, which makes sense as that's... much lighter in tone than the subsequent books, sans the sad ending, which (sorry Tessa fans) isn't really that important to the overall story.

So we've got six books to work through. This could either be very, very good... or a complete train wreck.

The first anime had a bunch of added side content and (bad) anime original material, so it plus The Second Raid wasn't really 37 episodes of telling the story from the novels

I thought some of it was pretty great actually. They fleshed out Sosuke's backstory a bit more than what was present in the original novels, what with Zaid and all.

They are skipping DVMC in terms of animated stuff but they are adapting it in the form of an audio drama that's actually being released for free on Lantis's Youtube channel.

Gatoh himself was pushing really hard for this so I wouldn't worry about it being a trainwreck. He re-did a significant portion of the storyline that TSR adapted when it aired (he wrote a bit of it himself; like the idea of switching up the twins as they were brothers in the original novel.)

Now I just need confirmation that Toshihiko Sahashi will compose music again.
Thanks for confirmation that art style stays the way it was in previous installments.

I also hope it'll be AT LEAST 24 episodes (36 or 48 preferable Smile).

I swear if that happens I'm dropping Crunchyroll for good. Most of the stuff they get are a load of crap while Amazon actually goes after the intriguing titles. They recently got Altair and Welcome to the Ballroom ffs. If Amazon keeps this up then perhaps I will cave in to their service despite the double pay wall.

With how much Funi has been marketing this event and the rest of the show on social media recently, Im reasonably confident they have season 4 or will very shortly

Well I've been waiting for more than 10 years for this, another 6 months is nothing. Especially as I long gave up that the anime was even going to continue past The Second Raid (and that Tessa OVA).

The leaked PV out on Youtube. Cant said anything on this yet. But I hope the mecha is half 2D and half CG like Gundam Unicorn. In the PV Arbalest seem like CG with his eyes blinking.

Saw it too. Thought it was really cool that the PV used animated footage instead of just showing still images from the novels.

Was there a reason why it was delayed in the first place?
