Unless Togashi-san actually has health or personal issues, I think he should contribute more chapters to have at least 3 volumes. Considering next year is the series' 20th anniversary, that should be an incentive for him to write more next year.

Man, the latest chapters were so intense. Although I don't think that the newest arc feels slow-paced and different.

Well, hopefully it won't take too long this time. It's a hard business, to draw a sole page can take a lot of time... and every magaka seems to handle health priorities and their manga projects in their own way.

Togashi isn't just sick. He has had back problems and had to have surgery.
So he kinda HAS to go on break lest he injure himself again and end up worse.
It is highly likely that Togashi simply cannot draw that much in a day anymore.
Virtually everyone on this forum could not draw an industry standard manga page
in one day even at top health. It is a LOT harder than it seems.

We HxH fans made it through the two year hiatus and other manga like Bastard
have gone through worse. The magazine said HxH will return before the end of the year.
So let's just wait a few months and if by Jan 1 2018 there are no new chapters THEN you can complain.

Because back pain is not something that is easily cured even by surgery. People with it can attest to that.
