I really am enjoying Apocrypha. I don’t think this series ever sets out to be anything more than a battle oriented show with some flashes of philosophical content. The issue is that people automatically compare it to other iterations in the Fate Universe, thus already setting off lofty and unfair expectations. The story, while basic, is serviceable and does just enough to keep me wanting more every week.
