It had a slightly surreal (and rather unnecessary) ending, but it was generic romantic comedy material prior to then. I am rather surprised that they found a way to keep the original's premise intact, given the changes in home video technology over subsequent decades. |

Giving the series age, I could see it justifiably being updated to have DVDs/BD/DVRs instead of VCRs.
