Pointing out an error in the article, it's Chucky, not Chuckie.

I guess Kawahara wanted to know what a good VRMMO story was like.

you do realize kawahara wrote Accel World as well, and people don't seem to give him much trash about it.

(accel world was also written -after- SAO, thus indicating kawahara's capability to improve as an author)

Um I saw Accel world and it sucks just as hard as SAO. No one gives Accel world crap because people know Accel world is crap, whereas while SAO belonged with wish fulfillment BS like Accel world or Infinite Stratos but was put on a pedestal due to a combination of an pretentious artifice of seriousness and desperate anime fans trying to justify their passion by forcing a series to be good even when its just a bad artifice. Accel world wasn't pretentious like SAO, Accel world knew its place as otaku garbage and stayed there, SAO was pretentious, it pretended to be in depth and edgy and was swatted down when it didn't know its place. Accel world knew its place.

How about inviting the writers of Westworld? AKA people who are intelligent enough to understand virtual reality.

Took the words rights off of my keyboard. Ready Player One is pure garbage.

Trigger warning for "Macross" purists: Contains acknowledgement of "Robotech's" existence.

They can change it when they get to Japan to Macross, to american audiences and other western ones who never were exposed on a large scale to it, Robotech is logical name to use. Sadly they had to pay those patent trolls at Harmony Gold money...

I bought the book the film was based on, but given negativity to the book. I'm going watch the movie first then read it. I'm sad they couldn't more stuff in the film, but copyright hell is just that. Hell.

It’s pointed out Forrest Gump and Field of Dreams were WAY better films than books.

Maybe here too.

Very interesting that they are going. Seeing as though there are more unannounced guests, I wonder who they are.
