What a great way to start the day! I think it's actually good news that it won't premiere until next year, because Morio Asaka, Kunihiko Hamada and much of the original staff are working on Card Captor Sakura: The Sealed Card right now, so there should be some decent prep time for Chihayafuru S3 after they wrap up that show in June.

At the rate the manga is going it will be finished by the end of next year, meaning it will end with 200+ chapters.

Each of the first two seasons have covered less than 50 chapters each so I wonder if they will start skipping content, because at this rate 4/5 seasons will be required to completely adapt the manga.

Maybe the manga could end sooner than that. The main characters are all about to graduate from high school, and there are only four major karuta confrontations left to happen. However, I wouldn't like the third season to rush through 100+ chapters in order to get to the manga's ending in just two cours.

OMG!! I can't believe this is happening! Now only if the staffs, Madhouse, and 99RadioService are reunited for the 3rd season anime, my life will be completed.

I was anxiously awaiting this news for months since the manga has been doing well in Japan. I hope the staff is reunited as well!

Great news! I starting to think Chihayafuru might not get another season, so this was a nice surprise.

I've said "Chihayafuru season 3 never" multiple times. I guess Japan really likes making me look stupid, which I'll take if it means we get more anime.

So, uh...Spice and Wolf season 3 never? Razz
