Hope this isn't a growing trend since there are series' that CR has that I would love to have a physical copy for.

It's probably just for series that wouldn't do well otherwise. All four of those series aren't what I would call...uh, good. And they aren't that popular either.

Edit: Actually, let me take that back. The Lost Village is in the "so bad it's good" category. I guess it wasn't that popular during its simulcast, but I still wonder if it would do good if it was marketed as a B-movie...

I really wish they would do a Ghost Stories-esque dub for this show. It would sell like crazy.

So will Big Order not get a dub like previously announced?...
Can't believe someone would ask this. The show was such a stinker I can't imagine anyone wasting any more time on it. I will buy it to hate-watch in perpetuity but not for more than $10. Someone might just buy Lost Village if it's $5 or less but not me. It was so bad, it was a waste of time (and I saw all of it too). Not even ironically funny like B.O.

Shows like this remind me that I can never predict what anime fans are going to like. For example, I adored Action Heroine Cheer Fruits, and was bewildered when its existence was almost completely ignored, and I thought the ending of Akuma no Riddle was absolutely perfect, and was then shocked when it was pretty heavily trashed online. This show was kind of the opposite, though: I knew from the outset that I wasn't going to enjoy it, and dropped it after the first episode, but at the time I legitimately thought that it was going to be a success among the SHAFT-loving, "every frame is a deliberate and meaningful directorial choice" crowd. I was pretty surprised when almost everyone ended up disliking it as much as I did.

A good chunk of that could be because it was on HiDive - which, NAICT, still isn't widely used. Their lack of apps for common viewing devices isn't helping any.

I heard that this show is supposed to have terrible subs, is it?

iTunes too (all sub-only, or "Original Japanese Version" as Funimation calls them on iTunes):

(did not find Garakowa -Restore the World-)

ThEse and Amazon are US only, or at least not available in the UK.

They should just honestly put out the home video release. I know people who legitimately enjoyed/would purchase The Lost Village but are unlikely to purchase digital copies off Amazon/iTunes.

What exactly constitutes “terrible subs”? I’ve heard people apply this term just because they didn’t like the specific shade of white that was being used. I didn’t watch all of it, but I didn’t notice any aggregious typos and you can chose your subtitle color on HiDive.
