Fresh and Heartcatch feel like the two real turning points that made the franchise what it is today.

I'm not anywhere near a Precure fan, but Heartcatch I enjoyed. I do wish they would animate those Ojamajo 16 novels >.>

And that's when they finally learned that timidly trying to ape the season right before wasn't a good idea.

Wow didn't know precure was in crisis, glad it didn't end, i have been fan since Futari in 2004 and enjoyed every precure so far ( Splash star, Yes! 5 first season, DokiDoki and Smile were my favorites ) , if it truly continue forever i would be delighted, really good franchise.

I'm glad they were able to break out of the y5 sequel cycle. While I enjoyed both seasons of y5, if we had more seasons of that, it might've eventually declined irrecoverably. I prefer the current annual recycling where we get to experiment with leads, themes, and styles.

Heartcatch is still the best series in the entire franchise.

Yeah, from what I understand, Precure 5 Gogo was a pretty big flop. It wasn't popular with fans and merchandise sales and ratings dropped pretty hard. That's probably why Precure hasn't had any direct sequels since then.

Good. While I liked Max Heart and Go Go!, they were just repeats of the 1st seasons. Each added a new character (Luminous and Milky Rose), but the rest was the same.

Which is a shame, because the girls had better looking transformations and cooler costumes that season, and their attacks had more individuality. But it looked like they spent most of their budget in henshin scenes, attack scenes and the opening. And I think that Kawarino from Nightmare was too much of a hurdle that Eternal could not surpass, and that guy wasn't even the main villain.

Yeah, Eternal didn't have any interesting minions. I can't even remember anyone except the gorgon chick. The main boss was just plain boring and so was the final battle.

Go! Precure almost made that mistake with Dyspear. I thought "Man, that last boss battle was a letdown" and then PLOT TWIST!

Now now, Lemonade might have gotten a lot of sakuga but Aqua and Mint got shafted hard. And all of them lost the cool Kamen Rider-ish metamorphoooose intro with the watches.

It had Bumbee's best bro.
On a similar note, from Nightmare I can only recall Bumbee, Kawarino and the harpy chick that got decimated by Mint's shield-cannon.

Anacondy. She was basically the Kawarino of the season except not nearly as evil and good.

Hadenya. And she was more like a chicken person than a harpy.

I like the Boss's/Director's final form. It's a lot better than Desparaiah's and Möbius's and the final battle was much better than in Yes! 5. And better than Fresh's in my opinion.

I will forever bemoan that battle for pushing Milky Rose aside. After ALSO doing it in the movie.
