Okay, sorry for my bad-tempered earlier comment. As I said my review, one of the main things that bothered me was the 'gear-shift' at the end, from the "Chie's mum" storyline to the cat-fight scene - I liked the cat-fight scene in itself, but I was 'baffled' by the way that strand suddenly took over again at that point in the film, having disappeared for a long time.

Also, while there were many funny individual things in the film, I personally didn't find it 'massively' funny - I still find Toyo Godfathers, which I think covers some comparable subjects, much funnier. But I repeat, I found Chie 'vastly interesting' - that's why I wrote more than a thousand words about it.
