What you post isn't what the original fans fell in love too, those who read the WN love Kumo as a character for her personality not her appearance. I imagined Kumo as a normal spider (a really big one) until I saw the Manga. |

Considering she was Yuuki's counterpart for Dance in the Vampire Bund, Tanya the Evil, and My Hero Academia (those I know of off-hand), I agree with you there. |

Nope in case you haven't read the LN or WN I am going to mark it as spoiler See the trailer again more carefully this time, the trailer shows. - Shun only this needs chapter S1 and S2 - Katia (spoiler[S6 and S7]) - spoiler[Fey so S3 The Hatchling] - spoiler[Sensei S8 The elf Maiden] - spoiler[Hugo and Yuri this mean volume 2] - spoiler[Julius going to the great demon-human war] - A lot more that I'm not going to include here All of this is by far more than 2 chapters, they show them as small scenes before the opening or as a post ending scene every chapter. spoiler[They even showed Ariel only this mean Volume 3] |

I'm starting to wonder if the people criticising the S chapters (and the other side chapters) actually read them or read the WN/LN past the point where Kumoko leaves the dungeon, because they're absolutely relevant to the main story and act as good worldbuilding/foreshadowing.

When i see that spider for the first time, the first thing that come to mind was "Reincarnated as a Pokemon?!".
The CG are just awful but the story look good so even if this not the kind if Isekai i usually look for, i will want to watch it because how different is outside from the usual Isekai. I hope they get the CG looking better by the time the anime airs. |

This. Others complaining about its existence just makes me glad it was left in, out of spite. Anyways, I hope the CG won't be as bad in the anime. Honestly, I'd rather they drop the CG altogether, but I can handle some CG if its consistent, and not awful. |

LOL at all the people upset that this is an accurate adaptation of the LNs rather than a hacked up version like the manga. You guys know which one is the source material, right?

Don't care about original, only care about what's best. I know for sure that when I read the manga I never think to myself "Hum you know what would make this better? If I stopped reading this and instead read a few chapter of a generic isekai manga were Joe boring get reincarnated as an OP character with a bunch of girl crushing hard on him for being extra uninteresting". If I wanted generic Isekai, I'd read generic isekai, the entire reason why this is even noticeable is because it's not generic isekai. So I don't see why anyone would waste anytime adapting the generic isekai part (although it might just be for budget reason). |

are you like stupid? Why would the budget have ANYTHING with them adapting the "generic isekai" part? Its important to the Story and the manga cutting it out really fucked up the story in that regard. Your just making up shit cause you like the "manga" better so just stop doing that. |

Seriously, it looks alright.
A CG-heavy production is a good choice for a series that is both very action-heavy and creature-centric. And it looks fine for the most party, aside from that dopey dragon. Also, the voice actress fits well... I remain rather hopeful. |
