This is so neat. I just had to register and post for this topic specifically.
In terms of the math, the actual calculations are not difficult, its all the underlying logic that has to be carefully read through in order for the proof to be validated. I've read up on combinatorics a little bit in college and I hope to have more time to read through the link. |

I'm inclined to watch the show chronologically, though by broadcast date isn't a terrible way to do it.
Really the biggest rule with watching Haruhi is save yourself the trouble and just skip Endless Eight. |

Is there any way of finding the anonymous poster so they can get some credit (if they want it)? Do they know about what they've done?

But it's so simple!
There's the chronological and the "correct" order. The order in which the episodes were aired is the correct order. What's the correct order to watch the anime? The order in which the anime was made and presented! |

I've actually only watched the series once, when Crunchyroll first had it and listed the episodes in broadcast order, and I quickly understood why people made a big deal about it. Watching the first season in original broadcast order really brings out the mystery and intrigue of the story, and the "episode 0" of the club's movie is a rather brilliant introduction that tells you everything you need to know about what the characters are like before you even know who exactly they are. One of these days I need to watch it again chronologically to see how that effects it.
For the record, season 2's Endless Eight arc isn't a big deal if you binge-watch it a few at a time. It's actually an interesting exercise in different methods and moods to tell a single story. ...As for the actual main subject of this headline... I find it both amusing and somewhat satisfying that Haruhi has managed to stay relevant in the oddest ways, even as fans still hope/wait in vain for a third official season (or just a new light novel). |

Well, to be fair, maybe some are displeased with Endless Eight due to having watched it as it aired and seeing that it was mostly the exact same thing every week for 2 months, it would seem like solid justification for some being a bit teed off in my view. I agree with your second sentence, though. (In my case, when I first watched it, I set aside a whole day to just binge watch the whole arc in one sitting)
When one reads/watches the series and becomes a fan, I honestly feel like it never really leaves you. It’s quite the interesting franchise and the way Kyoto Animation handled the adaptation was a memorable ride to say the least. |
